Ranchi addresses need more than an institution name
For Lalpur, Morabadi, Bariatu, Harmu, Doranda, Hinoo or Ashok Nagar, include the building, locality and PIN. If your home is towards Kanke, Namkum, Hatia or Ratu Road, specify the actual destination so the local delivery scope is clear.
For BIT Mesra or another campus, confirm the permitted entrance and who will meet the delivery. A campus gate and a hostel parking bay are different handover points. Ask security what is allowed rather than assuming an outside vehicle can enter.
If you are joining a company or institution, use your accommodation address unless workplace delivery has been agreed. A familiar employer name alone may not identify where your bike should go.
Joining a new role or moving into a hostel
Tell us your reporting date and when someone can receive the bike. Confirm the estimated shipment window before booking and plan for the recipient to inspect the vehicle. We do not promise that the bike will reach before your first day unless a specific commitment has been separately agreed.
If your temporary accommodation will change, settle a receiving address first. A destination change after dispatch may affect the arrangement and price. Keep the booking reference and tracking number available when discussing it.
Check local access close to the delivery date
During rain or a local festival, ask the receiver whether the usual approach is open and suitable. Share any restrictions affecting the street or building. Confirm the appointment instead of assuming the original estimate remains exact.
The shipment plan is based on dispatch and actual road conditions. No specific highway or fixed four-day journey is promised here. Choose a safe place for inspection and contact us if the vehicle or approach appears unsafe.
What to send for a Ranchi quote

Acceptance and any different handling or price must be settled before pickup. If the condition changes after the quote, send the update before the collection slot. For an EV, give the model and battery condition and follow its specific instructions; petrol-bike preparation is not a substitute. Avoid attempting a repair or battery alteration simply to make an unagreed collection possible.
A condition record for the Ranchi handover
The condition record made at pickup is what the Ranchi receiver will check against, so make it specific. Photograph the bike from all sides, including existing scratches, dents and the odometer reading. List the keys and accessories going with it, and remove personal belongings. If the bike does not start, will not roll or has a brake problem, disclose it before booking, as described in the condition table above. Ask the team for preparation instructions for your model, including fuel or an EV battery.

Tracking, insurance and the campus handover in Ranchi
You receive a consignment tracking number. Give it to your campus receiver as well, and quote it when contacting the team for a shipment update. It is a reference for team enquiries, not continuous live GPS.
ICICI Lombard transit insurance can be arranged at 3% of the bike’s declared value. This charge is separate from the transport charge. Cover is subject to the issued policy, including its exclusions, deductible and claims procedure, so read the policy schedule before dispatch. A claim is assessed under that policy and is not automatic.
At the handover, the receiver should compare the bike and listed items with the pickup record before completing the receipt. Any difference should be photographed, noted on the handover document and reported to the team promptly. Follow the reporting and inspection terms in the issued policy, and keep the packing and documents until you have instructions about any reported concern.
